Cycle beneath towering gorges past grazing zebra — no vehicle, no windows, just Hell's Gate National Park on two wheels.
Hell's Gate is one of the only parks in Kenya where you can travel on foot or by bike among plains game without a vehicle between you and the landscape — no windows, no engine noise, no glass separating you from a herd of zebra grazing twenty metres off the trail. It's a completely different register of safari from the classic seated game drive, and this short, high-impact trip is built specifically for travellers who want that difference.
The park takes its name seriously: towering obsidian gorges and volcanic cliffs frame the whole ride, a dramatic Rift Valley landscape that also happens to have inspired parts of Disney's The Lion King. Riding beneath it on a bicycle, rather than glimpsing it through a vehicle window, changes the scale of the place entirely.
This is a compact two-day trip, deliberately short, aimed at guests who want an active add-on to a longer safari itinerary or a standalone weekend that doesn't require a week of annual leave to justify.
